19th Annual Salt River Canoe Race & Bullitt Blast

WHAT: Bullitt county’s 19th Annual all-ages paddling event. Nine miles race on gentle Class 1 water.
WHEN: July 4, 2009. Launch 9 a.m. with sign in at 8 a.m. Meet at Louisville South KOA Ky., Shepherdsville, Ky. 44 East. Follow signs to river. Route takes 1-3 hours to complete.
FINISH: Race ends at Louisville-South KOA on Ky. 44, Shepherdsville. First to cross line in each of four categories wins respective class.
ENTRY FEE: $30 per person, includes T-shirt, lunch, gift bag, awards, boat, paddles, personal flotation devices, shuttle. Pre-register by July 1.
